Slight uptrend observed in late February now reversed
London – Natural rubber (NR) prices continued to decline in the early days of March reversing a slight uptrend observed in most Far East markets towards the end of February.
The trend reversal was observed in every market covered by ERJ's snapshot of the markets over the two weeks to 6 March, with Tocom RSS3 back month prices hitting a four-month low.
Shanghai SHFE ru2005: Yuan10,900/tonne (6 March) Yuan11,720/tonne (21 Feb)
Tokyo Tocom RSS3 back month: Yen168.3/kg compared to Yen189.5/kg
Tokyo Tocom TSR20 back month: Yen150.9 compared to Yen152.0/kg
Singapore SGX TSR20: $1.29/kg compared to $ 1.36/kg
Kuala Lumpur SMR20: $131.63/kg compared to $137.45/100kg
Kuala Lumpur Latex: $110.04/100kg compared to $112.59/100kg
