Oslo - Elkem SA temporarily closed its head office at Drammensveien 169, in the Norwegian capital of Oslo, on 6 March due to a confirmed case of Covid-19 (coronavirus).
The affected individual is in good health but has been quarantined after dialogue with medical personnel, the Norway-based silicones supplier announced on the day.
Elkem said in a statement that its office would be professionally cleaned "over the weekend", as a precautionary measure.
ERJ is in contact with Elkem to establish whether or not the head office has re-opened.
The temporary closure of the head office, said the statement, is not expected to impact Elkem’s operations.
