Two-day event to focus on the slowing global economy and welfare of farmers
Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire – The World Rubber Summit 2020 will be held in Abidjan in May, with a focus on the slowing global economy and potentials for growth in the industry.
The two-day summit will discuss the use of disruptive innovations and digitalisation over the next decade to achieve sustainable growth, said a 9 Jan statement by the European Tyre & Rubber Manufacturers’ Association (ETRMA).
The event, to be held 5-6 May, will also examine ways to improve the welfare of “the weakest link in the supply chain [farmers],” ETRMA added.
Among others, the conference will call for further partnership to “shape resurgence of a competitive and sustainable rubber value chain,” the statement concluded.
