Athens-based InterActive SA operates in European markets as well as in Israel
Hamburg, Germany – German distributor Krahn Chemie GmbH has acquired a majority share in InterActive SA, an Athens-headquartered chemicals distributor.
Founded in 1990, InterActive SA specialises in the distribution of lubricant additives in the Israeli, Greek and Cypriot markets, said Krahn in a statement 20 Jan.
The company also markets scientific instruments for R&D and QC laboratories in oil, pharma & chemical industries and represents “renowned international manufacturers,” the statement added.
The acquisition, which came into effect at the beginning of the year, extends Krahn’s footprint in Europe as well as in Israel.
“We are very pleased about this acquisition which gives us access to regions where we have not been active before,” said Dr. Rolf Kuropka, managing director of the Krahn Chemie Group.
With its reach extended to Israel, Krahn will strengthen growth outside Europe, added Kuropka who will also take over as the chairman of InterActive.
Kuropka described InterActive as “a technically driven, well-established distributor with a profound market knowledge.”
The company, he said, was "the idea partner" for Krahn to broaden its business.
