Warehouse near existing production plant, which was expanded in September last year
Nashville, Tennessee – Firestone Industrial Products Co. LLC has opened a new central European distribution centre in Chobienice, Poland, which it expects will improve the delivery of its products to customers across Europe.
Firestone said the new 100,000-sq.-ft. warehouse with four loading docks is near its existing manufacturing site in nearby Wolsztyn, improving efficiency in the supply chain between the two locations.
Nashville-based FSIP specialises in air spring design and manufacturing for commercial trucks and trailers, cars, sport-utility vehicles, light trucks, mini vans, buses, agricultural equipment, and rail and industrial uses.
Firestone said the new warehouse was part of its bid to better serve its customers.
"Our new approach focuses on centralising many of our processes and operations in order to optimise the supply chain to our original equipment customers and aftermarket distributors across Europe," company president Emily Poladian said in a statement.
In September last year, Firestone opened a 20,000-sq.-ft. expansion at its Wolsztyn manufacturing site, which added “new technologies and equipment” to the factory.
