New unit will be the company’s second US location and will create 51 jobs, according to the Chennai-based hose-maker
Pender County, North Carolina – Indian hose manufacturer Polyhose Inc. is building a warehouse and assembly centre in North Carolina as part of its expansion plans in the US.
Set for completion in the fourth quarter of the year, the $8-milion (€7.1 million) facility will be the company’s second US location and will create 51 jobs, the Chennai-based hose-maker said in a release.
"North America and the US are by far and away the largest hose market in the world," said Jonathan Pressler, senior vice president at Polyhose.
Polyhose, he added, meets the right quality requirement for doing business in the US.
Founded in 1996, Polyhose specialises in elastomer, polymer, fluoropolymer, and ultra high pressure hoses as well as the engineering and manufacture of various types of fluid connectors.
The company supplies to industries such as the aerospace, commercial industrial vehicle as well as the agriculture and medical sectors.
Some of the company’s key clients include Boeing, Caterpillar as well as Graco and Wagner SprayTech, according to the North Carolina governor's office.
Outside of North Carolina and India, Polyhose has facilities and offices in New Jersey, Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
