Conti extends farm tire warranty coverage to EMEA

Hanover, Germany — Continental Corp.is extending warranty coverage for radial agricultural tires in the Europe/Middle East/Asia (EMEA) region that previously had been available only on tires sold in North America.

According to the terms of the warranty, any tire that becomes unserviceable from a covered warranty condition will be repaired or replaced with a new or comparable Continental tire if it can't be repaired, Conti said in a 12 Dec statement.

The warranty offers coverage up to 10 years for failures due to manufacturing defects or defects in material, up to three years for stubble damage and up to two years for failures due to unanticipated and not deliberately initiated incidents.

The warranty applies to all Continental radial agriculture tires manufactured since 1 Aug 2017, with existing production code and the "engineered for efficiency" logo.

The extended warranty coverage includes the TractorMaster, CombineMaster, Tractor70 and Tractor85 lines, Continental said, as well as products with Very High Flexion (VF) technology, such as the VF TractorMaster Hybrid, VF TractorMaster and VF CombineMaster, that will be launched in 2020.

In announcing the change, Conti pointed out that its agricultural tires are built with "N.flex" technology, a patented polyamide material with high impact resistance.
