GRI leader to chair Sri Lanka export board

Colombo – Prabhash Subasinghe, managing director of Sri Lankan tire maker GRI has been appointed chairman of the country’s Export Development Board (EDB).

The appointment recognises Subasinghe “ambitious and astute” entrepreneurship and “passion to take Sri Lanka to the world, GRI said 23 Dec. 

Subasinghe holds leadership roles in many industry organisations, while working towards to advance both the rubber and seafood industries in Sri Lanka.

He has a degree in Applied Economics and Business from Cornell University and subsequent higher studies at Harvard Business School.

The EDB leads on the promotion and development of Sri Lankan as a major export hub for innovative products and services.

GRI produces tires for agriculture, construction and materials-handling equipment for markets worldwide.
