Andre Lanning took over the position 1 Nov, succeeding Samer Al Jabi
Berwyn, Pennsylvania – Trinseo SA has named Andre Lanning as the new head of its synthetic rubber global business to lead the development of the unit’s future strategy.
Lanning took over the position 1 Nov, succeeding Samer Al Jabi who recently took over as the director, corporate development.
In his new position, Lanning is responsible for “spearheading growth” within the business in target markets throughout Europe and Asia Pacific, Trinseo said in a 19 Dec statement.
The company said it was is strengthening its focus on innovative products for new high- and ultra-high-performance synthetic rubber applications linked to trends such as e-mobility and sustainability.
In addition, Lanning will expand Trinseo’s solutions for new applications including truck and bus, as well as broaden its product offering for technical rubber goods, the company added.
Lanning joins Trinseo from Advanced Refining Technologies (ART), where he served as managing director/CEO of ART Hydroprocessing, a supplier of hydroprocessing catalysts for the production of cleaner fuels.
“We will continue our strategy to drive innovation and sustainability efforts across the industry and be a solution provider for green e-mobility practices,” said Frank Bozich, president and CEO of Trinseo.
Lanning, he said, has “considerable experience” in the field of green practices and will work with the team to engage the value chain.
Lanning holds an MSc in chemical engineering and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
