Partnership to offer epoxidised natural rubber alternatives to oil-based rubber systems
Hamburg, Germany – German distributor Behn Meyer Europe and Malaysian natural rubber producer FGV Rubber Industries have joined forces to co-market their products and services, particularly to the global tire industry.
Under the deal, the two companies will promote and market each other’s products to their respective customer bases, Behn Meyer said in a statement 11 Dec.
The partnership will aim to offer the tire industry renewable alternatives to current oil-based rubber systems or enhance tire properties in terms of wear, rolling resistance, and grip.
According to the statement, Behn Meyer surface-modified silica products are “uniquely able” to interact with ENR, optimising wear, rolling resistance and skid properties of silica tread compounds.
The cooperation will enable joint demonstrations and joint customer visits, presentations and proposals.
Customers of both companies will have the option to purchase either the ENR or the surface–modified silica directly from each supplier.
