The Swedish company is cautiously optimistic about the possible uncertainties brought by Brexit.
Trelleborg, Sweden – Trelleborg AB is cautiously optimistic about the possible uncertainties brought by the departure of the UK from the European Union, set for end of January 2020.
All of the company business areas have analysed the effects of Brexit and other relevant trade barriers for customers and suppliers regarding the supply chain and tariff charges, Trelleborg said in its third quarter results 24 Oct.
The conclusion, said the company, is that the group overall is “well prepared to manage various scenarios and any directly negative effects for the group are expected to be limited.”
However, Trelleborg said it was not possible to estimate “indirect negative effects” of Brexit.
This, it said, was due to the number of variables involved in the assessment.
