Suzhou, Jiangsu – Safe-Run is providing machinery to the first tire production project in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) - Roadbot Tire Project KIZAD.
In an 18-Sept statement, the Chinese tire machinery supplier said it was providing tire building machines and curing presses for the plant, but did not provide further details.
Safe-Run will also help build the plant’s smart system for full-process automation.
The €540-million tire plant, supported by Chinese and UAE investors, is being built in Abu Dhabi’s Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD) and will produce car and truck tires by the fourth quarter of 2020.
Passenger car tire production at the plant will initially start at 3 million units/year, ramping up to 10 million units by 2022. The plant will also have production capacity of 1 million truck/bus radials a year.
