IRC2020, new rubber centre for India
London – The next International Rubber Conference (IRC2020) will be held in Chennai, India, organised by the Indian Rubber Institute (IRI), the institute has announced.
The annual conference & expo will take place 15-17 Oct 2020 at the Chennai Trade Centre under the theme of ‘sustainable technology, innovation and mobility’, according to the IRI.
In a linked announcement, IRI said proceeds from the IRC conference and expo will be used to help establish a centre for rubber technology education, training and research in the Asia Pacific region.
The ‘Dr. D Banerjee Centre of Excellence’ will be located at the JSS Science & Technology University, Mysuru, Karnataka, India.
IRC2020 is an official designated conference of International Rubber Conference Organization (IRCO), an association of rubber societies around the world.
The event, which was this year organised by the IoM3 in London, is focused on developments relating to rubber materials, processing, testing, simulation & modelling and design.
