Milan, Italy – Prometeon Tyre Group Srl has unveiled the new H:01 Proway line, which delivers "maximum efficiency in long-distance transportation," due to its reduced rolling resistance and improved durability.
The line includes the FH:01 design for the steering axle, and the TH:01 for the drive axle, both developed for an all-season application, Prometeon said 12 Sept. Both tread designs comply with winter regulations.
The TH:01 improves energy efficiency (from class C to B), equal to a 20% reduction in the value of rolling resistance compared to the previous line, according to the company.
"Tests conducted among many European fleets have confirmed the excellent performance in terms of rolling resistance of Proway H:01," said Alexandre Bregantim, chief technical officer of Prometeon.
The feature, said Bregantim, will have “real economic savings” as well as high performance efficiency for fleets.
Prometeon, formerly Pirelli’s industrial tire business, was established in 2017 as part of a move to revamp Pirelli into a "pure consumer" tire company.
