Tokyo – Carbon black producer Cancarb Ltd has appointed Peter Donnelly as the president effective 1 Oct, parent company Tokai Carbon announced 12 Sept.
Donnelly will replace Ken Tate, who is retiring at the end of September but will continue to work with the company as an adviser until the end of the year.
During his five-year term, Tate saw through the acquisition of Medicine Hat, Canada-based Cancarb by Tokai Carbon and initiated six expansions by the unit, according to Takashi Masaki, general manager of the carbon black division of Tokai Carbon.
Peter Donnelly has worked in various roles in Cancarb over the past 24 years including most recently as VP, marketing, and prior to that as director, quality and development.
“We are confident that his vision and strong mindset will successfully guide Cancarb in the coming years,” Masaki said.
