Cologne, Germany – Lanxess has appointed Michael Pontzen as a member of the board of management effective 1 April, the company announced 17 March. Pontzen, who will assume the role of chief financial officer (CFO) at the speciality chemicals company, currently heads Lanxess’ corporate controlling group function.
Cologne, Germany – Lanxess has appointed Michael Pontzen as a member of the board of management effective 1 April, the company announced 17 March.
Pontzen, who will assume the role of chief financial officer (CFO) at the speciality chemicals company, currently heads Lanxess’ corporate controlling group function.
He will succeed Bernhard Düttmann, who is leaving the company on 31 March, to take on a new career opportunity. Düttmann has been chief financial officer at Lanxess since 2011.
The Lanxess board also agreed to propose Lawrence Rosen, and Matthias Wolfgruber to its annual stockholders’ meeting on 13 May 2015, for election as members of the supervisory board.
The two will replace current board members Rainer Laufs and Robert Koehler whose terms are to come to an end.
Lawrence Rosen is currently a member of the board of management of Deutsche Post AG, and Matthias Wolfgruber is the chairman of the management board of Altana AG.
