Cooper Tire & Rubber Company Luis Ceneviz

Findlay, Ohio – Cooper Tire & Rubber Company has appointed Luis Ceneviz as its managing director — Latin America Tire Operations effective 1 March.

In a statement on 5 Feb, Cooper announced that Ceneviz will be responsible for the company’s business throughout Latin America, including Central and South America.

He will also be leading Cooper’s business in Mexico, where the company has a sales and marketing organization and participates in a joint venture tire manufacturing operation near Guadalajara.

Ceneviz comes to Cooper with more than 35 years of tire industry experience. Prior to Cooper, Ceneviz served as president of ESSAA (Europe, Sub Sahara Africa and Americas) at Apollo-Vredestein and chairman and chief executive officer of Apollo Tyres South Africa Ltd. He worked for Apollo between 2006 and 2014.

Prior to Apollo, Ceneviz, 57, spent nearly three decades with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.

“Luis is coming to Cooper at an exciting point in our Latin America growth plans,” said Cooper’s Chief Operating Officer Brad Hughes said.

“Our strong assets in Mexico…give Cooper certain advantages that we plan to leverage as we expand our presence in Latin America,” he added
