Apollo Tyres is to ‘redesignate’ Sunam Sarkar, its president and chief financial officer, to a new position of president and chief business officer. The switch will also seem him relocate to Singapore, the company said 19 Nov.
In his new role, Sunam will oversee corporate strategy, integrated supply chain, including raw material sourcing, production planning and logistics operations, IT, Greater China operations, CSR, and corporate communications.
Sarkar joined Apollo in 1999 to head up marketing and has since undertaken stints in corporate strategy, operations and finance. He joined the board of directors in 2004 and continues as an executive director. He is to continue as the CFO of the company until a replacement is announced.
