Gebze, Turkey – French automotive supplier, the Akwel Group has inaugurated an expansion project at its production plant in Gebze, to the east of Istanbul.
The project includes a new production hall dedicated to extrusion and autoclave process, the French fluid management specialist reported 28 June.
The new building, which increases Akwel Gebze’s autoclave & extrusion capacities by 40%, will primarily serve the demands of Ford Otosan, Renault and JLR.
Operational since 2018, the first floor of the new building is dedicated to assembly, warehouse and delivery.
Akwel has 41 production sites globally where it manufactures cooling, fuel, oil and air intake systems for the automotive industry.
