REP targets growth with new agency, appointments

Corbas, France – Rubber machinery maker REP International has strengthened its sales network with a new agent in Europe and two global appointments, the company announced 15 July.

The French company selected Plastics Bavaria SRL as its new agent in Romania, in March, to advance it sales in the country.

Founded in 2003, Plastics Bavaria is a medium-sized company which specialises in injection moulding equipment and processes.

“The commercial success of REP in Romania in recent years brought the necessity of having a local partner to communicate directly with our new customers,” said Stewart Knight, sales and partnership manager, REP International.

In the Kodak, Tennessee, the company named James Wirtz as the president of its US subsidiary, REP Corp., in May.

Wirtz joined REP in 2014 as service manager and succeeded Tim Graham, who has decided to take a reduced role at the company.

Upon taking the position Wirtz said his company would continue its “evolution” in North America, by developing new moulding machines for the rubber and TPE segments.

Additionally, REP aims to enhance offerings with its recently introduced devulcanisation equipment as well as REP Pack 4.0 production management software modules.

The French machinery supplier has also appointed a new vice president for sales in India.

Ashok H.S. has recently joined REP Machines India Private Ltd in Bangalore bringing 19 years of experience in machine engineering, manufacturing and sales with him.

In his new position, he will target “new projects and intensified customer care” to strengthen REP’s presence in the Indian market, the company release noted.

Ashok has recently spent several weeks at REP international in France for technical training.
