At the new 2,200 square metre facility, 25 materials experts work with the Vibracoustic engineering team in developing and testing new compounds.
The material specialists can conduct analytical and physical material testing as well as corrosion tests particularly for automotive components.
The centre also features a rheology lab, which evaluates and refines the deformation and flow characteristics of materials, both solids and liquids.
Furthermore, a dedicated micro cellular urethane shot machine is used to conduct tests and produce prototypes of these foam materials.
The facility “strengthens the company’s position as a leading global automotive NVH expert to increase the driving comfort of its customers vehicles,” stated Vibracoustic.
With over 10,000 employees at 43 production and engineering locations across 19 countries, the company said it serves all major automotive manufacturers.
In 2018, Vibracoustic recorded total sales of €2.1 billion.
