Yokohama HPT nets Gatwick airport fleet deal
London – Yokohama HPT Ltd is to supply its tyres to Heathrow-based Rushlift Ltd for its 450-strong fleet of ground support equipment (GSE) at Gatwick Airport.

The deal is the first UK airport agreement for Yokohama, according to Valentine, fleet and national account manager, Yokohama HPT Ltd – UK distributor of tires from Yokohama Rubber Co.
“Airport environments rely on seamless logistics which can be severely affected by vehicle downtime,” he said in an 8 July press release.
Yokohama’s BluEarth-Van RY55 tire is designed to provide fuel-savings and enhanced environmental and performance credentials.
Features of the Geolandar G015 A/T tire, meanwhile, include durability and handling, even in the most demanding winter conditions, Yokohama’s statement added.
