Cologne, Germany – Bridgestone Corp. will introduce a new range of lightweight tires in the coming weeks as part of its commitment to sustainability and new mobility trends.
“Bridgestone will announce very soon a new product called Enlite,” said Christope de Valroger, VP product and solutions strategy, Bridgestone Europe, during the Future Tire Conference 2019, in Cologne this week.
The tires use “breakthrough” long-life technology and enhances resource productivity, said de Valroger – reviewing Bridgestone’s latest developments in the field of sustainability.
The idea, he said, is to utilise “fewer resources” to produce the tire and “consume less fuel” when using it.
Tires, such as Enlite will contribute to Bridgestone’s goal to use 100% sustainable materials by 2050, added de Valroger.
