Kennett, Missouri – Parker Hannifin Corp.'s hose products division will close its manufacturing facility based in Kennett, the company said in a worker adjustment and retraining notification act (WARN) notice.
According to the notice, the plant will close on 30 Sept. Production will be transferred to other existing locations in the US by the end of that month.
"This was not an easy decision to make given the impact it has on our team members," Parker said in the notice.
"However, this was the only viable option as the demand for the products manufactured at the Kennett facility can no longer support the operating costs."
The move impacts 92 full-time employees, who received written notification on 4 June, according to the WARN notice.
The site produces yarn reinforced rubber hose and will continue its operation until all product lines are operational in their new locations, Parker said in an emailed statement.
"We are committed to easing the transition for all affected team members and we will be offering employment opportunities across Parker,” the company email added.
