Shah Alam, Malaysia – Top Glove Corp. has officially launched an “environmentally-friendly variant” of its nitrile gloves, which can biodegrade in anaerobic environments.
The BioGreen glove decomposes 10 times faster than conventional nitrile examination gloves, through microbial processes in landfills, the company said 5 June.
The product offers “the same high quality and reliability” as its conventional nitrile gloves, according to the Top Glove statement.
An accelerator-free formulation means the glove minimises the risk of hypersensitivity reactions triggered by exposure to such chemicals, the company added.
Top Glove said it would continue to develop ‘green’ versions of gloves within its synthetic latex product range.
