Seattle, Washington – The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP) has voted in Kumho Petrochemicals executive VP Jong-Hoon Baek as its president international for 2019-20.
Baek, who was elected at the association’s 60th AGM on 15 May, will succeed Brian Chapman, who now becomes the Institute’s past – president international, IISRP announced 4 June.
The new president, it said, has extensive experience in the polymer industry from role in technical, marketing and sales areas as well senior management positions.
He was appointed executive VP for sales and marketing at Kumho Petrochemicals in January 2016 and is responsible for all products including synthetic rubber and polymers.
Baek will also serve as president of institute’s the Asia Pacific section, IISRP’s statement pointed out.

Ralf Irmert of Trinseo, member of the finance pension & audit committee.
Juan Ramon Salinas, IISRP managing director, assistant treasurer, and recording secretary.
The IISRP is an international not-for-profit trade association with more than 60 corporate members, representing about 75% of the world’s supply of synthetic rubber.
Incorporated in 1960 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, the institute supports section offices in Milan, Tokyo, and Beijing.
