Munich, Germany – Rema Tip Top has received TÜV certification for a kit designed to repair of tire-puncture damages measuring up to 6mm, and for car passenger tires with speeds up to 300km/hour.
The certified Minicombi repair kit is said to enable “quick and safe” sealing of tread damage, restoring mobility in roughly 30 minutes, Rema Tip Top said 21 May.
The system can be used for any type of tire or car classification, offering a tire quality “as good as new,” according to the German service supplier.
The unit consists of a rubber patch, a rubber shaft connected to it, and a metal pin at the top of the shaft to facilitate placement of the repair body.
The patch adjusts to the tire contour for concentricity and contains a connection layer for self-vulcanisation with fast-dry bonding material.
“The tire is fully operational directly after the repair since the connection between Minicombi and tire is also made through cold vulcanisation while driving,” explained product line manager Detlef Witt.
