Satana, India – Apollo Tyres Ltd has opened a full-service agriculture tire outlet in Satana, in the western Indian state of Maharashtra.
Billed as the first service centre for farm tires in India, the Farm Zone was opened 29 May by Rajesh Dahiya, Apollo’s head, sales & marketing.
The centre features an automatic tire changer, a tire display, and an specialist adviser to guide the farmers in the tire-selection process.
“We are looking to build a network of Apollo Farm Zones across the country with almost all states having at least one such outlet,” explained Dahiya during the inauguration ceremony.
The farm segment contributes to nearly 8-10% of Apollo’s sales in India, according to the tire maker.
