Toyoda Gosei to set up engineering, sales office in US

Kiyosu, Japan – Automotive supplier Toyoda Gosei Co. Ltd is planning to establish a satellite engineering and sales office in Dublin, Ohio, to speed up its product development process in the US.

Certain functions, including design and sales of interior products and airbags, will be relocated from TGNA’s head office in Troy to the Dublin unit, which is set for operation in July.

The new office will be located near the Ohio office of Honda R&D Americas, a major customer of Toyoda Gosei.

The move is intended to speed up Toyoda Gosei’s development work for interior products and airbags.

The new unit will initially have five employees. The number will increase to about 10 by the early 2020s, the company said.
