Kodak, Tennessee – French rubber moulding press manufacturer REP has named James Wirtz as the president of REP Corp., the company’s North American subsidiary.
Wirtz joined REP in 2014 as service manager and succeeds Tim Graham, who has decided to take a reduced role at the company, REP announced 7 May.
Upon taking the position Wirtz said his company would continue its “evolution” in North America, by developing new moulding machines for the rubber and TPE segments.
Additionally, the REP aims to enhance offerings with its recently introduced devulcanisation equipment as well as REP Pack 4.0 production management software modules.
The company official also renewed REP’s commitment to advancing moulding technology and supporting customers.
Wirtz comes from a rubber moulding background as his family owned and operated Wirtz Manufacturing, a long-time Michigan injection moulder. The business shifted its focus on battery manufacturing in the 1990s.
Wirtz will be responsible for the management and corporate direction of REP Corp.
He will be based at the new company headquarters, in Kodak, Tennessee, near Knoxville.
