Shanghai, China – German automotive parts supplier Boge Rubber & Plastics expects to start production at its new manufacturing plant in Wuxi, near Shanghai, this year.
The facility will be Boge’s third production unit in China in addition to the two existing ones in Qingpu, Zhuzhou and Wuxi, Boge said in an 18 April release.
Once fully operational, the production plant is expected to increase Boge’s sales in China by €100 million.
The supplier of vibration control technology already generates around 20% of its global sales in China and currently employs over 1,200 people there.
The company also opened a customer service centre Asia in Zhuzhou, last year, as part of plans to expand its presence in China.
Boge manufactures rubber-metal components, including noise and vibration damping, for automotive chassis and powertrain applications.
China’s Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology Co. (TMT) has owned Boge since 2014.
