Toyoda Gosei opens new Indian production plant

Kiyosu, Japan - Toyoda Gosei Minda India Pvt. Ltd. (TGMIN) has officially opened a plant in Gujarat, western India, the company announced 8 Feb.

The facility, located in Dekavada, manufactures safety systems, including airbags, steering wheels and weatherstrips.

Toyoda Gosei’s sixth location in India, the operation will primarily supply parts to Suzuki Motor Gujarat Pvt. Ltd.

Toyoda Gosei has stepped up its activities in India in recent years.

This includes the establishment, last April of a new technical and sales office outside Delhi.

Toyoda Gosei has stated that it aims to double current sales in India to Yen35 billion (€280 million) by 2025.
