People: Goodyear's McClellan elected USTMA chairman

Washington – Stephen McClellan, president of Goodyear's Americas business unit, is the new chairman of the board of directors of the US Tire Manufacturers Association.

McClellan was elected 3 Oct to a two-year term, the USTMA said.

"Steve's election as board chair is a testament to his strong leadership and distinguished record of accomplishments with one of the world's largest tire companies," USTMA President and CEO Anne Forristall Luke said in a statement.

McClellan has been president of Goodyear's Americas region since 2016, when Goodyear combined its North America and Latin America businesses, the association said. In 2011, McClellan became president of Goodyear North America.

"Under McClellan's leadership," The USTMA said, "Goodyear North America established a sustainable business model that delivered record results and put the business on a path to growth."
