Tokyo – Zeon Corp. is raising global prices for thermoplastic elastomers for the third time this year.
In a 25 Sept statement, the Japanese supplier said prices for thermoplastic elastomer SIS – sold under the brand Quintac – will increase by $220 per tonne, effective 1 Oct.
This is the third time the Japanese supplier is raising prices for SIS -type elastomers this year. The company already raised prices for the materials by $220 per tonne in February and $110 per tonne in July.
The company statement did not provide a reason for the price hike.
