Chandler, Arizona – Rogers Corp. has introduced a new sealing cellular silicone solution for gasketing and sealing applications that require light weight, flame resistance, and low compression force.
Labelled Bisco HT-350, the product is said to be particularly suitable for a wide variety of enclosures, according to a 31 July company statement.
With 5% compression, the material is being targeted at industrial, automotive, or mass transit enclosures used a wide range of environmental extremes.
The “medium firmness,” claims Rogers, offers “a super seal cellular silicone material that uses new technology to pair the light-weight properties of a foam with superior sealing capabilities.”
“This improved sealing capability means customers can design in with a lower thickness material which will reduce the overall cost of ownership,” stated Dan Kubick, Rogers’ product manager for Bisco silicones.
