Conti reshuffles tire division managers
Hanover, Germany – Continental AG is reorganising the top management of its Tire Division, with Christian Koetz taking over the the business unit Commercial Vehicle Tires as of 1 July.
The former head of business unit Passenger and Light Truck Replacement Tires EMEA will report to Nikolai Setzer, head of the Tire Division.
Koetz’ former position is taken over by Philipp von Hirschheydt, who previously served as the head of Passenger and Light Truck Replacement Tires APAC.
Ferdinand Hoyos will take over the Von Hirschheydt’s former position.
Von Hirschheydt and Hoyos will both report directly to Nikolai Setzer as well.
Koetz succeeds Andreas Esser who will be leading the business region Asia Pacific Truck Tire at Continental Commercial Vehicle Tires in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
Esser will now report to Koetz.
Koetz was president of the European Tyre and Rubber Manufacturers’ Association (ETRMA) between 2015 and 2017.
Philipp von Hirschheydt was head of Passenger and Light Truck Replacement Tires APAC since April 2015. Before that he worked from June 2012 to March 2015 as chief executive officer (CEO) at Continental Tire Andina in Ecuador.
Ferdinand Hoyos was CEO of the Andina region (Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Ecuador) from February 2015 to end of June 2018. Before that he was head of mergers & acquisitions and corporate real estate management at Conti in Hanover.
