Cologne, Germany – Lanxess’ urethane systems business unit has introduced a series of price increases for its products, the group announced 2 Oct.
The price increases, which are effective immediately in the three main global regions, are "driven by a continued rise of raw material costs," the company said.
In the EMEA region, prices for Adiprene/Vibrathane and other urethane prepolymers will rise by up to €0.80/kg, depending on the product grade.
Also in EMEA, prices for Vibracure and other urethane curatives will rise by up to €0.50/kg, again depending on the product grade
Customers in the Americas will similarly see prices for Adiprene/Vibrathane and other urethane prepolymers rise by up to $ 0.90/kg, and Vibracure and other urethane curatives by up to $ 0.50/kg
Additionally, prices for Fomrez polyester polyols will rise by $ 0.33/kg in the Americas market.
The hikes extend to the APAC region, where the price of Adiprene/Vibrathane and other urethane prepolymers will rise by up to $ 1.73/kg and Vibracure and other urethane curatives by up to 0.8/kg.
