Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany - Teknor Apex Co. is expanding its European thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) capacity, building a 15,000 square metre facility in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany.
The capacity expansion will be through Plastic-Technologie-Service (PTS), which Teknor Apex acquired in 2016.
Groundbreaking ceremony for the PTS/Teknor Apex facility will take place by spring 2018, said the Pawtucket-, Rhode Island-based supplier said on 14 Aug.
Completion is set for summer 2019 after which the current production site in nearby Steinfeld and marketing operation currently in Tauberzell will be relocated to Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
The Rothenburg facility will produce thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) and engineering thermoplastics (ETPs) in various general-purpose and specialised ranges.
