Pelmar extends sales agreement with Steelastic

Yokneam, Israel – Pelmar Engineering Ltd has announced the signing, last week, of a comprehensive sales representation agreement with Steelastic Co. LLC.

The deal covers exclusive representation in Turkey, India, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Sri Lanka, as well as a similar arrangement for Israel, which is already over 25 years old.

The deal, which extends and existing contract, follows “several successful transactions, especially in South East Asia and India,” according to a Pelmar statement.

Steelastic is considered a world leader in its lines, particularly steel cord and bead winding systems, according to the Israeli company.

“This is a major step in the direction of enlarging Pelmar’s share in new equipment and advanced technology for the tire and rubber industries,” Eldad Eilam, the CEO of Pelmar Engineering.

“It will help Pelmar’s strive to offer comprehensive solutions to the rubber industry, including, but not limited to compounding, processing, building and curing facilities,” added Eilam.
