Toyoda Gosei to establish automotive parts plant in India

Kiyosu, Japan – Toyoda Gosei Co. Ltd is establishing a new plant in Bawal in the Indian state of Haryana in a bid to meet the growing demand for automotive parts, the company announced on 14 July.
The new plant, which is being built as part of Toyoda Gosei Minda India Pvt. Ltd, will manufacture airbags, weatherstrips and other components for local Japanese automakers.
The facility will be built on a 20,000 sq.m. plot of land and the building will have an area of 8,000 sq.m. Production is set to start in March 2017.
Toyoda Gosei expects to employ 440 by the end of March 2017 at the plant.
The investment associated with the new site is estimated to be around 550 million rupees (€7.2 million).
