Orion adds marketing manager

Kingwood, Texas – Orion Engineered Carbons has hired Jose Briones as its marketing manager for the Rubber Carbon Black segment.

Briones brings more than 20 years of commercial and technical experience in the speciality chemicals and materials, oil and gas services, manufacturing and technology industries. He has led the development and commercialisation of more than 40 new products in the US, Europe and Latin America, being named as an inventor in seven patents, Orion said.

Briones’ rubber industry experience includes manufacturing and development of SBR polymers, commercialisation and development of natural rubber for adhesive and allergy-free applications, and managing a custom manufacturing facility for reinforced rubber assemblies used in oil and gas and agricultural belting applications.
