Avon Rubber acquires US electronic systems supplier
Melksham , UK – Avon Rubber plc has acquired Florida-based electronic systems company Hudstar Systems Inc. for $5.1 million (€4.5 million), the UK company announced 22 June.
Hudstar designs and manufactures electronic control systems used in powered and supplied air respiratory protection systems.
Much of the US company's output goes to Avon Rubber for use in its Deltair self-contained breathing apparatus for the fire service industry.
Avon Rubber expects this acquisition to be “modestly earnings enhancing” in the next financial year. It added, though, that as a private US company, Hudstar thus does not produce audited accounts.
