Michelin, TVS Srichakra to make bias motorcycle tires in India
Chennai, India - French Group Michelin has signed an agreement with TVS Group company TVS Srichakra for the manufacture of two-wheeler bias tires, according to press reports from India on 3 June.
TVS Srichakra Ltd, said director P Vijayaraghavan, had entered into an agreement with Michelin to manufacture bias motorcycle and scooter tires designed by Michelin for the Indian market at its Madurai facility.
According to India’s Business Standard, TVS Srichakra would contract manufacture Michelin’s two-wheeler bias tires at this facility as well as some tires from TVS’ product range of two-wheeler tires.
The Madurai unit of TVS Srichakra has an annual capacity of 3.6 million tires.
