Manchester, UK – The Manufacturing Institute is providing a profit programme, including a free business review for rubber and plastics small and medium businesses (SMEs) in the north west of England, the institute announced on 20 May.
Launched in 2013, the programme is aimed at giving support to manufacturing SMEs across the region. It claims to have,so far, delivered nearly £5 million (€7 million) worth of savings and increased profits to participants.
According to the institute, many grant receivers have all spent many years working at senior levels right across the manufacturing sector including the rubber and plastics sector.
“We have helped to create jobs, protect jobs, taught new skills, introduced new or improved products, processes or services and most impressive of all - delivered £4.7 m of GVA as a result of the programme,” said CEO Julie Madigan.
To be eligible for the grant, the SME should be a north west manufacturer, with a turnover of less than £42 million, employ less than 250 people and register its own accounts.
Applicants have until 30 June to book a free business review.
