Brussels – Demand for new passenger cars in the EU increased by nearly 7 percent in April, marking the 20th consecutive month of growth, European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) has reported.
The total registration amounted to 1,166,482 units, recording the best result in terms of volume for the month of April since 2009, according to new figures from Brussels-based ACEA.
All major markets contributed positively to the overall expansion, especially Italy with 24.2 percent, followed by Germany, the UK, Spain and France.
