Nürburg, Germany – Japanese tire manufacturer Falken Tyres achieved its first podium at the 2015 Nürburgring 24 Hours held in Nürburg, Germany on 14-17 May.
Drivers Peter Dumbreck, Martin Ragginger, Alex Imperatori and Wolf Henzler guided the team’s Porsche 997 GT3 R from 19th on the grid to third on the podium, improving on its fourth place finish in 2014, said the tire-maker in an announcement.
“The changing weather, with light rain in the night, made the track very slippery with a lot of cars going off but the Falken team led by Sven Schnabl made the right tire choices and the Falken rubber performed superbly in these tricky conditions to make the difference,” said Dumbreck.
