Houston, Texas —The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP) has named Juan Ramon Salinas to succeed James McGraw as managing director and CEO of the association.
Salinas will officially take over on 1 July. Following a three month transition period, McGraw will continue to serve but in an advisory capacity to the executive committee for the next year.
For the last seven years, Salinas has served as worldwide commercial and marketing director of rubber producer Dynasol. His previous roles there include as business developing and marketing manager, logistic and customer service manager and technical service to customers and development manager.
Salinas prior work experience includes plant director at polystyrene producer Resirene in Monterrey, Nuevo León and project manager in Caterpillar Mexico and Grupo Cydsa’s acrylic fiber division.
He has a BSc in chemical engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Mexico and business administration program from IPADE, Monterrey Mexico.
The IISRP is an international not-for-profit association with 60 corporate members domiciled in 22 countries who produce 80 percent of the world’s supply of synthetic rubber.
Incorporated in 1960 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, the Institute supports regional offices in Milan, Tokyo and Beijing.
