Tampa, Florida - Reijnders BV has signed a strategic agreement for the exclusive sale and distribution of Hiller Carbon’s Crown Black325 in Europe, the companies announced 12 May.
Reijnders will focus on the marketing of Crown Black to Europe’s rubber and plastics markets, said the statement, adding that Rejinders’ “large-scale” distribution infrastructure will provide European compounders with convenient access to local inventories.
Crown Black 325 is a ground bituminous coal filler with low specific gravity that performs as a pigment-filler and extender in many rubber and plastics compounds.
The coal-based product offers “very clear customer benefits and added value for the European rubber & plastic industry,” said Sander Verberkt, Crown Black Europe sales manager.
Reijndersis is committed to maintaining sufficient local stock of Crown Black, supported by its “24/7 customer-centric approach”, he added.
“There’s a significant demand for Crown Black in Europe and now the region will have sufficient local stock of the material,” commented Hiller Carbon’s business development manager Jordan Hiller.
Crown Black, said Hiller, is considered a ‘house’ ingredient that can be added to a wide array of rubber and plastics compounds.
