Burton upon Trent, UK – Pirelli’s Cinturato P7 Blue has won the summer tire test conducted by Russia’s Za Rulem (Behind the Wheels) magazine, said the company on 11 May.
During the test, the Cinturato P7 Blue in 16-inch fitment was compared to ten tires and subjected to a series of challenges including braking, handling, comfort and fuel efficiency.
The tire, said Pirelli, was declared test winner with a score of 944.
“Za Rulem commended the Cinturato P7 Blue on its braking and grip capabilities in both wet and dry conditions, lane-changing speed, consistent handling, excellent road-holding ability and decent fuel consumption. It also has the best price to quality ratio,” said the Pirelli release.
The Cinturato P7 Blue tire is designed for medium and large saloons with good wet performance and rolling resistance, as well as high mileage due to the “uniformed distribution of the footprint contact pressure”, said Pirelli.
The carcass rigidity of the Cinturato P7 Blue tire reduces rolling resistance leading to better fuel economy, and the four wide longitudinal grooves offer water expulsion providing safety and control.
