South Bend, Indiana – Royal Holdings Inc., owned by equity firm Arsenal Capital Partners, has acquired Chemical Innovations Ltd (CIL) of Preston, UK from Vita (Group) Unlimited. The deal was carried out through Royal’s Kömmerling UK Ltd subsidiary.
CIL manufactures rubber-to-metal, rubber-to-plastic, rubber-to-fabric and rubber-to-glass bonding adhesives for automotive and industrial applications, including anti-vibration, hoses and belting and friction products.
Royal makes adhesives and sealants for bonding, laminating and sealing applications. Its markets include aerospace and defence, construction, packaging, automotive and industrial. Its portfolio includes thermosetting epoxy and urethane, solvent-based and water-based technologies.
The acquisition complements and adds to Royal’s of adhesives and sealants, according to Ted Clark, CEO of the South Bend -based company said in a 2 April announcement.
“CIL, like Royal, works closely with customers to provide adhesives solutions that enhance and add value to our customer’s products. We can help develop the global market though our global team of adhesives and sealants application professionals,” said Clark.
